Vessels of Honor

OUR MISSION:

VOH is established to equip radical followers of Jesus Christ. God is rising up a remnant that will go forth with His Word and Anointing to transform their world. This will not happen without hearts set aflame with holy passion. At VOH we desire to enflame hearts for God in the context of encountering Him through worship, intercession, discipleship, and service. Students will be schooled in an atmosphere of theological excellence while being mentored in the practicalities of ministry.

DISTINCTIVES OF VOH:

  1. PASSION FOR JESUS: Enjoying intimacy with God is the foundation of all character formation and ministry.
  2. EVANGELISM AND MISSIONS: The student will develop a Biblical worldview and gain an understanding of God’s call to disciple the nations.
  3. CENTRALITY OF THE WORD OF GOD: The scriptures are taught from an evangelical perspective with an emphasis on practical application.
  4. WORSHIP AND INTERCESSION: Students will participate in a local prayer center with a commitment to unceasing intercession for revival.

VOH SCHOOLS:

School of Discipleship

This one year school consists of twenty credit hours of core courses that focus students on their spiritual formation as well as developing within them a Kingdom worldview.

School of Ministry

This one year program is designed for those who sense a call to ministry and have completed the School of Discipleship.   The School of Ministry is uniquely designed to train and equip the student for ministry in their area of calling through classroom instruction and practical experience. The student will complete a second year of biblical classroom training and then participate in a Ministry Experience Practicum (February – May).

Internship Program (This is optional for students)

The VOH Internship program launches young adults on a 9-month journey into the heart of God. Through this journey, interns will enter into focused times of prayer, service, and a call to radical living for Christ. First year interns will serve in a variety of ministries within the local church, as well as in the Furnace Prayer Center.  Second year interns will serve in a focused area of ministry within their calling.

VOH Internship:

The Vessels of Honor Internship Program is an extension of the Vessels of Honor School of Discipleship and Ministry.  The Internship Program consists of two stand alone one-year programs.  The first year is the Discipleship Intern Program, and the second is the Ministry Staff Intern Program.  These exist in order to develop men and women at an intense level in both their personal relationship with Christ, and in their ministry skills.  The Internship Program is available to all full-time VOH students enrolled in either the school of discipleship or school of ministry.  This program is offered in addition to Vessels of Honor and is intended to assist men and women in developing a lifestyle of service, as well as discovering and developing God’s vision for their life.

This is a 9-month program which runs in correlation to the VOH School Semesters.  The internship consists of a weekly commitment of 32-hours; divided into the following areas: prayer, ministry, mentoring, and scripture memorization.  Housing is available for a limited number of interns; information for additional housing is available upon request.  Please contact Pastor Caleb Ives if you are interested in being part of the VOH Intern Program at 989-772-5681 or email him at pastorcaleb@pottershousefwc.org
